Danny Friel
Senior Physiotherapist
Danny completed his BSc Hons Physiotherapy degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2013. On graduating, he started working part-time within the Youth Academy at Celtic F.C. He moved into a full time role with Celtic and spent just over 5 years working within the Academy structure from Junior Academy to Professional Development phase squad.
In 2018 Danny was promoted to work with the first team squad at Celtic and was fortunate to work in this position for just under 6 years, in what was a particularly successful period for the club. These experiences have allowed Danny to gain and develop his MSK skillset from assessment to treatment and rehabilitation in both the adult and adolescent population. Throughout his time with Celtic he also completed his MSc in Sports and Exercise Science & Medicine at the University of Glasgow.
Through both his clinical experience and further academic studies, Danny has developed a practice which aims to provide a safe and optimal environment for rehabilitation based on current research.
Away from work Danny is looking forward to spending more time with his young family and some weekends off!
