Melanie Stewart
Senior Physiotherapist
Melanie graduated as a physiotherapist in 2011 from Glasgow Caledonian University. Having worked within the NHS & private clinics when she graduated, she then went onto complete her MSc in Sports Physiotherapy from Cardiff University in 2016.
Melanie has a keen interest in Sports Physiotherapy, starting her full time football career at St Mirren before moving to St Johnstone in 2016. She spent the last 7 years as Head of Medical in Perth, enjoying the highlight of the clubs most successful season of the 2021 Cup Double winning team. In 2023, she also began lecturing on the BSc Sports Rehabilitation course at Edinburgh College.
Through both her clinical experience and further academic studies, Melanie has developed a passion for working with her clients on their own personal rehabilitation goals, and how these integrate with their day to day lives. She uses her experience alongside clinical research and reasoning to aid her patients recovery as quickly as possible.
Away from work, Melanie is looking forward to spending more time with her young family and some free weekends to travel in her caravan.
