Michael Gallacher
Physiotherapist
Michael completed his first degree in 2017 at UWS Hamilton with BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science. He then completed an MSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2021.
Michael spent his first few years working as a rotational physiotherapist within NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Ayrshire and Arran. During this period, he gained valuable skills and experience working within multiple inpatient and outpatient specialities including Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, Neurological, Medical, and Community rehabilitation.
More recently, Michael settled as a MSK Physiotherapist within NHS Lanarkshire, where he was responsible for assessing and treating a wide range of complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions. In this role he enjoyed working together with his patients to create goals in line with their personal needs and encouraged active health through exercise.
Due to his keen interest in sport, Michael took the opportunity to work as Lead Physiotherapist for Stenhousemuir FC in late 2022. He was recently part of their League winning team in 2024 and aims for more success within sport.
Away from Hampden, you’ll find Michael weightlifting in the gym, watching football and socialising with family and friends.
